I understand the book did not cost the usual price but it was so hard to read I almost didn't finish.
The author repeated things of no interest on several different pages and the ending was so mundane that I yawned. The characters were forgetible and the suspense just wasn't there. The jumping around from 1st and 3rd person writing left me wondering who was telling the story but then I realized I didn't care anymore. Whew! glad that is over!

I loved this book! The spunk and sassiness of ghost writer, Kody Burkoff, made me laugh and smile. And yet, I was moved to tears as the stories of some of her clients unfolded. Davidson had me hooked within the first few pages and I was intrigued by the mysterious Daniel and his connection to the new man in Kody's life. I stayed up way too late turning pages to see how everything would connect. I'm already looking forward to another book from Davidson about Kody's next adventures.
It has been along time since I've picked up a book to just simply read and enjoy. (I listen to alot of books . . .) So to find a book that I couldn't put down and to have inspired me enough to learn more about the author is rare and wonderful (and carve out time during my day to just enjoy reading) was wonderful! "Missing Maggie" is a an amazing story with so many intriguing characters. I wanted to hear the end of each the "memoirs"of Kody's clients . I so look forward to the next book and the chance to peek into the lives of these characters. Ms. Davidson's talent to speak in so many voices and really know each of these charaters is an amazing talent. Please keep them coming!
I agree with the other 5 star reviews. Missing Maggie kept me interested to the end. Try a few chapters and you will see. I can't wait for the next release.

Was recommended by a co-worker. very interesting story and was unpredictable. i like a little suspence with the story to keep you interested. i will be looking for more reads for this author!
First book by Jennifer L Davidson I have read. Enjoyed it immensely. I have noticed though, there seem to be a large number of grammatical, spelling, and typo errors in most of the kindle books I have been reading. Don't know if they are trying to put them out too fast or simply getting lazy. I seem to remember several paperbacks I read before I got my kindle having the same problems.
I just finished reading this first book by Jennifer Davidson. I really like the character, Kody Burkoff. Wouldn't we all like her life of being a ghostwriter. I was intrigued at the beginning as each character was being introduced; did the characters stories intertwine later? When Kevin met Kody I could not stop reading the book, it was a page turner until the ending. I am going to be watching for Jennifer's next Kody book to come to my kindle.
